CASA of the NRV

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of the New River Valley, a program of NRV CARES, trains volunteers who are committed to advocating for children who are involved in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court proceedings who have been abused or neglected.

Our CASA volunteers are appointed by the courts, and are everyday people who serve as the "eyes and ears" for judges on behalf of a child in need.

Our CASA program advocates for more than 100 children each year, serving courts in the Counties of Giles, Floyd, Montgomery, and Pulaski as well as the City of Radford.

Volunteer trainings are held at different times throughout the year.

If you are interested in learning more about CASA or becoming a CASA volunteer, please contact us at 540.381.8312 or at leah@nrvcares.org

CASA of the New River Valley has been awarded certification by the National CASA Association.  This certification recognized CASA of the NRV to be in compliance with National CASA’s high standards for quality child advocacy for local CASA programs and to be a member program, effective 2014 – 2018.
