Andi Golusky
Executive Director

Andi Golusky has been with NRV CARES since March 2019 and prior worked for New River Valley Community Services for 10 years.  She comes to us with years of experience working with children and families through intensive crisis programs and has leadership experience as a supervisor of many programs during her time at NRVCS.  Andi received her Bachelor’s Degrees in Psychology and Sociology from Virginia Tech and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Radford University. She is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.  She proudly lives in Christiansburg with her husband, two young daughters, and her two dogs.   

Keli Lichty
Education Program Director

Keli joined the NRV CARES team as the Education Program Director in October 2007.  She is responsible for directing the Parent Education Program as well as the Community Education Program.  With strong ties to the New River Valley, Keli enjoys her work with families throughout the area.  Keli believes that all children have the right to live in a safe nurturing environment and strives to ensure that through her work at NRV CARES.  Keli lives in Christiansburg with her husband, two children and two feisty felines and a pup that keeps her on her toes!

Julie Fox
Education Program Coordinator

Julie  originally joined the NRV CARES team as a Parenting Young Children  course facilitator in 2014. In 2018, she became the Education Program Assistant. Through this role, she will be working with both the Parent Education and Community Education programs. Julie is a long term resident of the New River Valley and has worked with families for over 15 years in various capacities. Julie believes in the profound impact advocacy can have on creating opportunities for positive changes in individuals, families, and our community. Julie currently lives in Blacksburg with her husband and two children.

Dionne Harrison
CASA Program Director

Dionne is a native of North Carolina who relocated to the NRV in 1997. She received her bachelor's from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She has worked with children since graduating from college through various organizations. Dionne believes in the value of a strong community that is actively involved in enhancing the lives of children. Dionne lives in Riner with her husband, two children and dog.

Leah Wechtaluk McFarren
CASA Volunteer Coordinator

A longtime resident of the New River Valley, Leah originally joined the NRV CARES team in 2012, working part-time as a facilitator for Parenting Young Children  In 2018 she moved into the role of CASA Volunteer Coordinator. Leah earned degrees from Virginia Tech and Purdue University. She has worked for several local non-profit programs. Leah believes it takes a village to raise a child and supports a community invested in making sure that all children have what they need to grow and thrive. She currently lives in Christiansburg with her husband and two very loved cats!

Mona DiGiulian
Grant Specialist/Finance Director

Mona has lived in the New River Valley for over 30 years, settling in the area after receiving two degrees from Virginia Tech. A longtime advocate for children and families, Mona first became affiliated with NRV CARES in 2002, when she joined the Board of Directors. Elected Board Chair in 2003, Mona served in this capacity until 2005. In 2006, Mona took a part time position with the agency and moved to full time status into her current position in 2007. Mona lives in Catawba with her husband, Tommy, and her sweet dog.
