April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to raise awareness and take action to protect the most vulnerable members of our community—our children.
Each April, NRV CARES invites individuals, schools, businesses, and communities across the New River Valley to participate in the Pinwheels for Prevention Campaign. By purchasing and displaying Pinwheel Gardens, you demonstrate your commitment to protecting children and strengthening families.
The pinwheel is the national symbol for child abuse prevention, representing the joyful and healthy childhood every child deserves. When you plant a Pinwheel Garden, you’re helping to plant hope and raise awareness.
Funds raised through this campaign directly support NRV CARES programs that work year-round to educate, advocate, and support families to prevent child abuse in our region.
Join us this April. Plant a Pinwheel Garden. Help us grow a safer, stronger community.
