CASA of the New River Valley
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of the New River Valley, a program of NRV CARES, trains volunteers to advocate for children in court.
Parenting Young Children
Systematic Training for Effective Parenting curriculum (STEP) for parents/caregivers of children ages birth through 6 years.
Community Education
NRV CARES engages in many community initiatives that work to prevent child abuse and neglect before it occurs.

The annual Spring Gala and Auction is the signature fundraiser for NRV CARES. Please join us for dinner, dancing and a live and silent auction—with Bill Roth “Voice of the Hokies” acting as the event’s honorary chair. The Live and Silent auctions (with items from regional artists, vacation getaways, and unique experiences) combine with an elegant evening to raise important support for NRV CARES.
