CASA of the New River Valley
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of the New River Valley, a program of NRV CARES, trains volunteers to advocate for children in court.
Parenting Young Children
Systematic Training for Effective Parenting curriculum (STEP) for parents/caregivers of children ages birth through 6 years.
Community Education
NRV CARES engages in many community initiatives that work to prevent child abuse and neglect before it occurs.

April - Child Abuse Prevention Month

NRV CARES provides a variety of activities each year to increase awareness of the issues of child abuse and neglect and to provide opportunities to create a strong New River Valley community, working to support families and keep children safe.
